Nightmare

A pleasant night, or so it seems, there's not a soul to see
Walking through the cemetery, unaware of what awaits me

A thousand hands, grabbing me, dragging me down, down into the ground
Deep in the dirt I will drown, pushing me down, crushing me into the ground
Hungry mouths gather around, biting me
Consciousness is flowing out, leaving me
One with the ground, deep in the charnel mound
Tormentors all around

I can't escape this hunger for
Their flesh it makes me feel like I
Am one of them I cannot help
Chasing, consuming, infecting

I spy an interesting tomb off the beaten track
As I pause to inspect it, I feel a presence at my back

How glorious it will be

Where other humans roam free
Stumbling towards, them running away
Screaming in terror at me
While I have slept deep in the earth
Something about me has changed
Insatiably hungry for their flesh
I must appear deranged
